Worst Hollywood Scandal Ever!

OK.... Now that I have your attention.

America let's talk about the things that REALLY matter.

It's true. We are all idiots when it comes to the media.

We are all guilty.

We don't pay any attention to the stories that will really impact our lives.

We need to hear about the NBA player that beat up his girlfriend. We need to know everything we could possibly know about Octomom, or how Barbie makes girls not want to be Doctors. Please give us more on Miley, Lindsey, Bieber, Selena and Beyonce!

Who cares about North Korea, Syria, and Putin invading the Ukraine? I mean really, how do countries thousands of miles away affect us? We haven't got the time to care about the rest of the world, we might miss our episode of Honey Boo Boo meets the Kardashians.

Yes, we would rather read stories about Bigfoot than Benghazi.

We want controversy.

We want bizarre, dramatic, blood-curdling sensationalism!
We seek after these things.
We lust for them.

So when Russia invades a country in an eerily similar way to Hitler preceding WWII, why should we care?

Who cares if the world perceives President Barack Obama as "a weak and ineffective leader – someone who doesn't have the will, backbone, strength, or fortitude to follow through on his threats or promises."

So what?

Now, I am not saying Obama isn't guilty of everything they are accusing him of.

He is.
But-- the truth is WE should take part of the blame.

America HAS become a weak and ineffectual people who mostly don't have the will, backbone, strength, or fortitude to follow through on our threats or promises.

We are much more worried about The Bachelor, and American Idol than American Ideals.

Than about defending ourselves and the world against the very tyrants history has taught us to watch out for.

Washington and the Men of Valley Forge fought for months with no pay. Many starved the winter of 1777 and '78. Men marched and fought with no shoes. These men fought for Liberty. They literally risked life and limb for a chance to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted today.

We have become soft, self absorbed, fools!

We have had it too easy.

I fear that America will very soon pay a high price for our morbid political obesity.

In the 1930's Nazi Germany invaded Czechoslovakia, claiming they were "protecting" ethnic Germans. Well now Russia is invading Ukraine claiming they are "protecting" ethnic Russians. Russia is hastily distributing Russian passports in Crimea and Georgian territories.

ALARM!

Hello?

Most of us have forgotten September 1938, when Germany annexed the Sudetenland. British Prime Minister, Nevell Chamberlain called the situation “a quarrel in a far-away country, between people of whom we know nothing.” Very similar to what some are saying today. Why should we even bother. Many are talking about the need to reach some kind of compromise with Russia, an option that resembles Munich 80 years ago.

In the 1990's Ukraine gave up it's considerable arsenal of nuclear weapons to Russia. The United States, Britain and Russia signed agreements guaranteeing Ukraine’s territorial integrity in exchange for Ukraine giving its weapons to Russia.

We persuaded them to do so!!!

We are working feverishly to attack the bullies in our school systems, but we turn away from the bullying that is going on to a NATION of people we PROMISED to protect.

Besides guaranteeing them their freedom from Russia, (so living up to our obligation) Why should we be concerned about Ukraine?

Well to begin with, most Americans don't even realize that Ukraine is the biggest European Country. But even more important, is that we are seeing the destruction of Cold-War order. This order was based on clear rules that protected these countries. If there are no longer any rules imagine the ethnic violence and destruction that will ensue.

In the 2008 presidential election Sarah Palin warned that "if Senator Barack Obama were elected president, his "indecision" and "moral equivalence" may encourage Russia's Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine." They made fun of her for it. They chided and scoffed. But no one is laughing now.

America we have to learn.

We need another Churchill not another Snooki.

Newflash: Judge declares "I love boobies" is not sexual.

A federal appeals court ruled Monday that a Pennsylvania school district cannot ban "I (heart) Boobies!" bracelets, rejecting the district's claim that the slogan — designed to promote breast cancer awareness among young people — is lewd.

Federal Court of Appeals!

Now let me see, Students cannot wear American Flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo, but wearing explicit bracelets is OK?

America, What is happening to us?

The teens, Brianna Hawk and Kayla Martinez, testified that they merely hoped to promote awareness of the disease at their middle school. They filed suit when they were suspended for defying the ban on their school's Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Really? How Noble!  I don't buy it.

OK , a couple of alarm bells go off for me here. First, this is middle school, and second, Hey this is middle school!

Hormones and curiosity people.

What teenage boy seeing that, is going to equate "I love/heart boobies" with breast cancer?? They are teenagers, but they are not idiots.

So, If my son decides to wear a shirt with a penis on it and then defends himself by saying that he is advocating prostate awareness, is that OK too? Of course it is!

When are we going to stop the insanity?!

So these girls decide that not being able to wear their "I love/heart boobies" bracelets at school is a violation, so they decide to call who? You guessed it, The American Civil Liberties Union, because this is obviously a terrible blow to their civil liberties.

How do we sleep at night America, knowing that such travesties are occurring around the country, right under our noses? Perhaps millions of poor teenage Americans unable to display their lewd bracelets.

Thank heaven's for this "Mrs. Kravitz" organization that seeks justice for the downtrodden.

ACLU lawyer Mary Catherine Roper said the ruling supports the rights of students to discuss important topics."It explicitly says school children talk about important things, and when they (do) ... that's the kind of speech we want to protect and promote".
Philadelphia must be heaven on Earth, because I cannot imagine any middle school having "important" conversations involving " I heart boobies", but I CAN imagine a lot of unimportant conversations it will start.
The full appeals court elected to hear the school district's appeal in February. During those arguments, Judge Dolores Sloviter said she did not see the slogan as sexual, and told the packed courtroom that she had once lost a colleague on the court to breast cancer.
Is this what it comes down to? Emotional politics?
The 74 page ruling has left this school in quite a quandary as to where to draw the line as   "increasingly aggressive double-entendres come into school in the guise of some social or political cause, "said District Lawyer John Freund.
But most disturbing of all is that schools cannot limit student speech involving social commentary, even if it "could reasonably be deemed lewd, vulgar, plainly offensive, or constituting sexual innuendo."
Oh America..... the land of opportunity.

Attention all marketers, You have a new market base. Run, don't walk, to your nearest T-shirt wholesaler, because this, is an opportunity NOT to be missed.

Scary!

OK, sarcasm aside, can't we come up with a reasonable solution to hinder these trivial civil right infraction lawsuits? ( I am certainly not saying that this is one, trivial yes, civil rights infraction, No!)

The Civil Rights Movement was a monumental movement that changed our world for the better.
But the ACLU and others are hijacking this movement to pursue their immoral agenda.

Are we such a rich country that we can afford the luxury to take even our most minuet offences through litigation?

Shouldn't we also be posing the question as to why the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation should be allowed to market such important awareness this way? They come up with a controversial slogan, the courts run through years of litigation and America pays the bill. Must we tie up the court system with such irrelevance?

Wouldn't it have been so much better for the school to be able to insist; On Breast Cancer Awareness Day, if you wish to advocate for the organization, the means of your promotion must actually have a reference to breast cancer?

Why was this not the obvious solution?

Go ahead and wear your bracelets, but school is not the place for them.

Breast Cancer is very real! This is serious business. But, this is not the way to create awareness.

I am tired of my countries moral compass being manipulated in the court system, and the sneaky ways the ACLU uses triviality to do it.

Our teenagers base natures are not game for marketing tactics no matter how important the cause.

Even if in the right setting, there is nothing wrong with loving boobies.

If Feminism is now gender-less, how about a name change?

I recently read an article in the New York times. Throughout this article Feminist ideology was rampant.
As I read the article I realized how much we are in need of a word change.
Does not the very word imply gender? It's very definition is gender based.
In the article one of the authors pointed out that most women now work in "gender-less" work environments. Really?
Gender-less?
I do not agree. In fact, even my sister who drives a coal drill on the plains of Wyoming, would not agree with that. When she comes in after her shift and hits the shower she most definitely goes to the "Women's" shower. I think she and her "Male" workmates would insist on this. Well...some.
I think what this author should have referred to instead, was "gender equal" work environments.
That is what has been fought for. That is what we currently enjoy. Gender equality.
My sister enjoys working in a previously male dominated workplace. But gender-less? Don't be ridiculous!
Gender still plays a significant role. The fact that we still have Men's rooms and Women's rooms addresses this point, but is only the beginning.
But Feminists would like to change all that.
Really? Is this all necessary? Is this where rights for women has gone? Can we not get back to the basics and ensure the rights for the rest of the world's women before we decide that humanity must be "gender-less" to ensure equality.
Feminism, as it is defined today, is not what it used to be. Indeed, the "New Feminism" of today looks nothing like the original movement.
By Definition, there have been 3 waves of Feminism:
The First Wave; Women's suffrage, the Feminism of the late 1800's.
The Second Wave; Women's Liberation, the Feminism of the 1920's.
Finally, the Third Wave; Issues of Sexuality, Modern Feminism. The trouble is, that the world is still in need of the first 2 movements. But the baggage of the Modern Movement is hindering the real work that needs to be done.
The Heroes of the first movement: Susan B. Anthony, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
Their grueling work and noble sacrifices paved the way for other heroes like Esther Petersen and Eleanor Roosevelt.
I bow to these women.
These women changed the world.
I cannot imagine what my world would be like, had they not taken the risks and pledged so much.
But somewhere along the way, Feminism changed. It was hijacked.
This New Feminism seeks to rid the world of gender entirely.
How does that help women?
I remember a few years ago. I was carrying a baby in one arm and a diaper bag in the other. I was opening the door to a City building for my two year old to walk through when 2 men hurried past and through the door. As they went through I mumbled "your welcome". Sarcasm intended. Yes my dear's, Chivalry is nearly dead. So must we kill it entirely?
Thanks a lot Feminists!
When will "equal rights" stop infringing on my rights.
What has happened to traditional roles for women?
Newsflash; Attention all women of at least the last 6,000 years. You had it all wrong. Being a wife and mother can never bring you happiness. You must have a "job" to achieve that. You were just too "oppressed" not to realize that.
Where did we lose our way.
Many of the great Feminist leaders were deeply religious, but today Feminism and religion are at odds.
(But that must wait for another post.)
So if Feminist's want  to be gender-less why don't they start with their own movement. Stop raping the Feminist movement, call yourselves what you are. Gender-less-ists, Neuter-ists, Asexual-ists,
How can anyone be so ridiculous?

We must face a few facts.
There IS such a thing as Gender.
We ARE different.

If you don't believe me, take a  look.

Unalienable rights; Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness, Healthcare and Parental Support

OK, I am sure most of you have heard the headlines.

TEEN SUES PARENTS FOR SUPPORT

18 year old Rachel Channing is suing her parents for child support, private high school tuition and access to her college fund.
Rachel's parents claim that just before her 18th birthday Rachel told them that she was grown and could do what ever she wanted, she didn't like their rules, so she left. Rachel claims that they kicked her out when she turned 18. She moved in with a friend and her friends' parents are helping her sue her parents for support. (Don't get me started on that one!)
Really the details hardly matter here. An 18 year old is suing her parents!
So this is what our country is coming to?
Now let me get this straight, because the "rights" are changing so rapidly I am just trying to keep up. So...our nations' unalienable rights are: life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, healthcare and now parental support?
Can we say that we all agree on at least the first three?
But healthcare? Well, really if healthcare is a right, as our esteemed President...cough, cough... has mandated, well then why NOT parental support?
After all, having a roof over our head and food in our bellies must be a higher right than healthcare, and since the court has ruled that (for now) the parents are not culpable then how about good 'ole Uncle Sam?
What?...You mean we shouldn't foot the bill for every teenager who refuses to obey family rules and gets kicked out.

Then America, I suggest we start to send a message.

Instead of turning this teenage loser into an instant celebrity, we must insist that ridiculous claims such as these, require a high fine for wasting the courts' time.
Which leads me to some really basic questions like;
Who was the idiot Attorney who took the case? I realize that the Teenager's friends' father was an Attorney, the nincompoop who started this whole mess, and since this teenage idiot is in his home, let him foot this bill! But let's not stop there, What Law firm took it from there? What idiot judge agreed to hear the case?
So they just collect their fees and move on?
What will keep them from taking other cases like this in the future?

This is only the beginning America.

We have not heard the last of this case.

Cases like these get our attention. They scare the heebie jeebies out of parents who often warn their rebellious teenagers that if they don't follow the rules then there's the door. Imagine a world where the government takes all of the power away from the parents.
I will tell you where that leads.

The Nanny State.

We are coming to that a lot sooner than we might like to think. If any of this court case passes, the legal precedent will create enormous ramifications.

I knew I should have given in to that new Xbox my boys wanted for Christmas.
